Analysis Tools and Third-Party Tools

This website is hosted by an external service provider (host). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the host's servers. The host is used for the purpose of fulfilling the contract with our potential and existing customers (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO) and in the interest of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offering by a professional provider (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO).

Our host will only process your data to the extent necessary to fulfil its performance obligations and will follow our instructions regarding this data.

Storage Duration

Unless a more specific storage duration is stated within this privacy policy, your personal data remains with us until the purpose for the data processing ceases to apply. Notice on Data Transfer to the USA

Among other things, tools of companies based in the USA are integrated into our website. When these tools are active, your personal data may be passed on to the US servers of the respective companies. We point out that the USA is not a safe third country within the meaning of EU data-protection law. US companies are obliged to surrender personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence over these processing activities.

Revocation of Your Consent to Data Processing

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address line changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

4. Data Collection on This Website

Cookies and Local Storage

This website sets one cookie: pll_language. It stores the language version you accessed (German or English) so that you remain in the same language when moving between pages. It contains only the language code and no identifier that makes you recognisable.

Because this cookie is necessary to provide you with the service you expressly requested in the language you selected, it is stored on the basis of Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG; no consent is required for this. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies are set.

In addition, an entry named csMapConsent may be placed in your browser's local storage. This happens only if you consent to the display of the Google Maps map on the contact page and tick the option to remember your choice. The entry contains no personal data, remains on your device, and can be removed at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. See the section “Google Maps” for details.

Server Log Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – for this, the server log files must be collected.

Enquiry by Email or Telephone

If you contact us by email or telephone, your enquiry including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO, insofar as your enquiry is connected with the performance of a contract or is necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO) or on your consent (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO) if this was requested.

The data you send us via contact enquiries remains with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage ceases to apply (e.g. after completed processing of your request). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

Communication via WhatsApp

For communication with our customers and other third parties, we use, among other things, the instant-messaging service WhatsApp. The provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Communication takes place via end-to-end encryption (peer-to-peer), which prevents WhatsApp or other third parties from gaining access to the communication content. However, WhatsApp receives access to metadata that arises in the course of the communication process (e.g. sender, recipient, and time). We further point out that WhatsApp, according to its own statement, shares personal data of its users with its US-based parent company Meta Platforms. The use of WhatsApp is based on our legitimate interest in communicating with customers, prospects and other business and contractual partners as quickly and effectively as possible (Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Insofar as corresponding consent has been requested, data processing takes place exclusively on the basis of consent; this can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

The communication content exchanged on WhatsApp remains with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage ceases to apply (e.g. after completed processing of your enquiry). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

5. Plugins and Tools

Umami (Audience Measurement)

This website uses Umami for the statistical evaluation of visitor access. The provider is Umami Software, Inc., 28 Geary St, Suite 650 #243, San Francisco, California, USA.

Umami does not set cookies and does not create cross-device user profiles. When a page is accessed, the following data is transmitted to the provider: the URL accessed, page title, referrer, hostname, screen resolution, browser language setting, time of access, as well as your IP address and your browser identification. The IP address is evaluated to determine the country of origin and is not stored permanently.

The legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the statistical evaluation of access in order to design this website according to demand. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for this purpose.

A data processing agreement has been concluded with the provider; you can find it at https://umami.is/dpa. Processing takes place on the provider's servers, whereby data is transferred to the USA. The basis for the transfer is the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses (Module Two, controller to processor), which form part of this agreement. The subprocessors used are listed at https://umami.is/subprocessors.

You can object to the collection at any time — informally by message to me@carstensachse.de.

Google Maps

On our contact page we embed a map from the Google Maps service. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The map is not loaded automatically. Unless you expressly consent, you will only see a placeholder and no data is transmitted to Google. Only when you click “Show map” is the map loaded. In doing so, your IP address as well as information about your browser and device are transmitted to Google and generally sent to a Google server in the USA; the map additionally loads fonts from Google (Google Fonts).

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO and Section 25 (1) TDDDG). You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by clearing this site's data in your browser; the map will then only load again after renewed consent.

6. eCommerce and Payment Providers

Processing of Data (Customer and Contract Data)

We collect, process and use personal data only insofar as it is necessary for the establishment, content arrangement or modification of the legal relationship (inventory data). This is done on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures. We collect, process and use personal data about the use of this website (usage data) only insofar as this is necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill for it.

The collected customer data is deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Payment Services

We integrate payment services from third-party companies on our website. When you make a purchase with us, your payment data (e.g. name, payment amount, bank details, credit-card number) is processed by the payment service provider for the purpose of payment processing. The respective contractual and data-protection provisions of the respective providers apply to these transactions. The payment service providers are used on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (contract processing) as well as in the interest of a payment process that is as smooth, convenient and secure as possible (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Insofar as your consent is requested for certain actions, Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO is the legal basis of the data processing; consents can be revoked at any time for the future.

Stripe

The provider for customers within the EU is Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland (hereinafter "Stripe").

7. Postal Approach to New Business Customers

Contact by Letter

To acquire new business customers, we occasionally contact companies in writing by post. The data used for this (company name, address, and where applicable the name of the contact person) is taken exclusively from publicly accessible sources such as the imprint or the website of the respective company.

The processing takes place for the purpose of a single contact on the basis of our legitimate interest in acquiring new customers (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). This data is not passed on to third parties.

You can object to the use of your data for this purpose at any time and informally (Art. 21 Abs. 2 DSGVO), e.g. by email to me@carstensachse.de or by post to the address given above.

Storage Duration

The address data used for the approach is deleted after completion of the respective campaign. If the contact results in a reply or a business relationship, we continue to process the data then provided within the framework of contract initiation or performance.
