What Does a Website Cost?
Between €1,500 and €25,000 — depending on scope
A professional website costs somewhere between €1,500 and €25,000 in 2026, depending on scope. A simple one-pager sits in the low four figures, a typical company website with several subpages usually between €3,500 and €8,000, an online shop or a custom portal well above that.
The biggest factor isn’t the number of pages — it’s how much is built individually instead of clicked together from a template. I work with binding fixed prices after a short intro call: no hourly meter, no hidden costs.
What does each type of website cost?
| Website type | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| One-pager / landing page | €1,500–3,500 | One strong page: your offer, trust, contact. Ideal for solo professionals, service businesses and campaigns. |
| Business website | €3,500–8,000 | Several subpages: home, services, about, contact, optional blog. The standard for most companies. |
| Large / multilingual website | €8,000–15,000 | Many pages, multiple languages, editorial system, custom templates. For established companies and associations. |
| Online shop (WooCommerce) | €10,000–25,000 | Products, cart, payment, shipping. Price depends on catalogue size, integrations and processes. |
| Web app / portal | from €15,000 | Login, custom features, database, integrations. When the site has to do more than inform. |
Website builder, freelancer or agency?
| Provider | Typical price | Who it’s for |
|---|---|---|
| DIY builder (Wix, Squarespace …) | €10–40 / month | Anyone starting from zero who wants to build it themselves |
| Freelancer (like me) | €80–110 / h · fixed price | Best value for small and mid-sized companies |
| Agency | €100–180 / h | Large projects with many stakeholders |
| Premium / specialist agency | €150–250 / h | Brands with a dedicated budget |
What pushes the price up
Two websites with “five pages” can cost €3,000 or €12,000 — the difference is in the features. A custom design built around your brand costs more than an adapted template, but it lasts longer and sets you apart from your competition.
That’s exactly why I quote a price only once I know what the site needs to do — after a short intro call, binding and with no top-ups later.
What it costs per month after launch
A website isn’t a one-off purchase, it’s a living system. Domain and hosting cost a few euros a month, professional plugins a few hundred a year. The biggest ongoing item is care — updates, backups, security and small changes.
I look after that on an ongoing basis for the sites I build, so nobody has to think about updates.
