Professional web design

Professional web design that gets found.

Individually built instead of clicked together from a kit: a WordPress website that loads fast, ranks cleanly on Google and fits your business. Remote worldwide, from Germany (CET), GDPR-compliant, with one fixed point of contact — me.
The offer

A website that works for you

Individual design, not a template
Built for speed — Core Web Vitals
Mobile thought of first
Accessible and GDPR-compliant
You own everything — no lock-in

Plenty of websites look tidy and still bring no enquiries — because they load slowly, nobody finds them, or they fall apart on a phone. I build it the other way round: the goal first, then the design, then clean code around it.

Tailored to your business, not assembled from a template a thousand others already use. What you end up with is a site that is fast, shows up for your search terms and turns visitors into customers.

Process

How your website comes about

01

Listening

I want to understand what your business does, who you want to reach and what the site should achieve — before anything gets designed.
02

Designing

You get a design that fits you and pursues one goal: that people enquire, book or buy.
03

Building

Hand-built in WordPress — fast, clean, for phone and desktop. No bloated theme, no page-builder ballast.
04

Measuring

After launch I check whether the site delivers what it promised — load time, visibility, enquiries — and adjust.

The difference

Why individually built, not clicked together?

Site builders load sluggishly
Templates rank worse
Looks like a thousand others
You outgrow it quickly
Individual — built for your goal

Wix, Squarespace and the new AI website generators are fast and cheap — and it shows. They load sluggishly, rank worse and feel interchangeable. For a first test balloon that is fine.

But if your business is really supposed to run through the website, you outgrow them quickly: on load time, on Google, on being recognisable. A hand-built site costs more up front — and saves you the complete rebuild in two years.

Technology

Built fast means: found fast

Short load times — Core Web Vitals
Clean, crawlable structure
Images compressed
Structured data (Schema.org)
Honestly measured — Lighthouse and Search Console

Good web design does not stop at how it looks. Under the hood, short load times, clean code and technical SEO are what make Google willing to serve your page at all. How far I go on visibility is on the services page.

Afterwards

After launch it carries on

Updates and security patches
Daily backups
New content and changes
Hosting on my own server in Germany
One point of contact for everything

A website is never quite finished. New offers, a text, an image — for that I am your fixed point of contact, reliably reachable. If you want, I take on the ongoing website care and the hosting as well. One supplier, one invoice.

Why me

What you get differently with me

12+ years of experience — real references you can look at
One person for design, code and technology
Honest advice — even when it means less

I have been building websites and apps for over twelve years — from the local tradesperson to the multilingual brand, plus my own apps in the App Store. So you get work you can look at beforehand, not promises.

And you talk directly to the person who builds: no account manager, no handover. I explain everything without jargon — and if a smaller package is enough, I will tell you.

Cost

What does a professional website cost?

That depends on the scope — a one-pager is a different thing from a multilingual presence with a shop. I price fairly and without agency markup; you get the binding fixed price after a short, free intro call, not before.

More than websites

A website is often the start. Apps, web applications, shops, accessibility and ongoing care come from the same hands — pick what is relevant to you:

Frequently asked questions

Why an individual website and not a site builder?
Site builders like Wix are cheap, but slow, hard to find and interchangeable. A hand-built WordPress site loads faster, ranks better and grows with your business — you don’t outgrow it.
What does professional web design cost?
Roughly: a single-page presence usually lands between €1,500 and €3,500, a website with several pages between €3,500 and €8,000. What it becomes in your case depends on the scope — you get the fixed price in writing after the intro call, with no surprise add-ons. The full price range is on What does a website cost?
Does it run on WordPress — can I make changes myself later?
Of course. The site runs in the WordPress back end, which most people already know. In a short handover I show you how to change texts, images and whole subpages yourself. If that is not your thing, I take care of it as part of ongoing care.
Will my site be found on Google?
That is what I build it for. Clean, fast code and a well-thought-out site structure are the basis for Google classifying the content correctly. Titles, meta data, headings and load time are right from the start — without keyword tricks that come back to bite you six months later.
How long does a website take?
That depends on the scope. A compact site is often done in two to four weeks; larger projects take correspondingly longer. We set the schedule right at project start — you get a reliable date instead of a vague estimate.
Do you work with clients abroad?
Yes. I work remote worldwide from Germany (CET) and take on projects across Europe, the US, the UK and Australia. Coordination runs by video call with a shared screen, which saves everyone the travelling. My desk and my server are in Germany — which for European clients also means the data stays in the EU.
